On December 22, 2024, the HILO WAVE, 1st HONOR Expert Symposium was successfully held at the Andaz Hotel in Gangnam, Seoul. Professor Heejin Kim delivered the first lecture from Yonsei University College of Dentistry, titled "US Anatomy of the Face and Neck for WAVE Injection Procedures: Science of Visualization under US." Professor Kim emphasized that ultrasound (US) technology is a vital tool for improving the precision of medical procedures and highlighted the necessity of a solid understanding of anatomical structures.
He explained the importance of minimizing pressure during ultrasound visualization of subdermal structures and noted that the thickness of facial skin varies depending on the area. For instance, the temple and radix have thin skin layers with underlying muscles, requiring careful handling. Additionally, he pointed out that differences in skin thickness between men and women significantly influence the depth of injections.
Professor Kim further stated that advancements in ultrasound equipment and the accumulation of clinical data will continue to enhance the accuracy and safety of medical procedures. He emphasized the need to correct anatomical misconceptions and foster collaboration between scientific and clinical experts to achieve these goals.
Dr. Jewan Kaiser Hwang delivered the second lecture from the Maylin Clinic at The Hyundai Daegu branch. Titled "Minimalist Approach to Maximum Impact with WAVE," Dr. Hwang introduced the technological distinctions and anti-aging benefits of HILO WAVE.
He highlighted that combining low-molecular and high-molecular hyaluronic acid is the key innovation that sets HILO WAVE apart from existing products. Dr. Hwang explained that HILO WAVE provides immediate and long-term results thanks to its high elasticity and viscosity.
